According to UCAS data from 2020, Psychology was the second most popular course for students to study in the UK. Psychology is the study of the human mind that seeks to find out why people behave in the way they do.  

Taking a psychology course doesn’t just lead to a job as a psychologist, therapist or counsellor. A degree in Psychology is highly desirable to employers and opens doors into varied careers from law to business and many more. Undergraduate degrees in Psychology may incorporate clinical training or be offered in combination with other subjects

Course options may include an integrated foundation year, a master’s or an accelerated degree programme. Some degrees may have a professional placement year. January start dates are available.

Entry requirements 

Typical entry requirements for a Psychology degree are between 104–156 UCAS points. Universities will usually ask that you’ve studied: a science subject at an advanced or higher level such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics or psychology. Joint subjects may have their own requirements and general subjects may be excluded. Some universities may require an interview and entry assessment.
