What degree had you originally applied for and where?  

I originally thought of pursuing an apprenticeship, however I made a last-minute decision to go to university. 

What is your degree, and where are you studying?  

Aerospace Engineering with Astronautics and Space Technology MEng (Hons) at Kingston University. 

Why did you go through Clearing?  

I changed my mind too late to apply through the usual channels, so I looked at Kingston’s website and found the course I wanted to study and applied. 

What factors made you choose the course you’re now studying?  

When I applied, Kingston was in the top 50 universities for engineering. The lab and manufacturing facilities are also very good and are accessible to students for coursework and extra-curricular projects. 

Did you attend a Clearing Open Day and, if so, how was it? 

I didn’t attend a Clearing Open Day.  

Did you find a place to live easily?  

Kingston University is near my home. However, it was easy to ask about accommodation on the Clearing hotline, since there are always dropouts and no-shows, so it’s still likely you’ll get a space if you ask. 

Have you enjoyed your course and time at university?  

Yes, the facilities are great and I’m on track to achieving a first-class degree!
