Clearing success story: University of Westminster

What degree had you originally applied for and where?

I originally applied for English Literature at Queen Mary University of London.

What is your degree, and where are you studying now?

My degree is in Psychology and I’m studying at the University of Westminster. 

Why did you enter Clearing?

I entered clearing for a few reasons. I didn’t get into my original choice, but also, I realised I wanted to study something else. 

What factors made you finally settle on the course you chose?

I finally settled on Psychology because I’ve always been interested in the mind and in behaviour and I wanted to pursue it further. I did a lot of research and I found that the modules offered at Westminster intrigued me and I could see myself enjoying the course. 

Did you attend a Clearing open day and, if so, how was it?

I did not actually attend any Open Days. I focused more on finding out about the university as well as what I would be studying if I came to Westminster. 

Did you find a place to live easily?

I decided to stay at home with my parents. I don’t live too far from campus, so I felt it was in my best interest to commute.

Have you enjoyed your course and time at uni?

I have absolutely enjoyed my course and time at Westminster. I’ve had so many opportunities to get involved with the university and meet so many great people. Even the course itself always challenged me to do my best work. I have never once regretted coming to Westminster, it’s been an amazing experience and it’s always been an incredibly welcoming and friendly place.
