Clearing success stories: University of Essex

Carolyn’s Story  

Carolyn was inspired to study a BA Therapeutic Communication and Therapeutic Organisations at Essex after adopting her daughter from the care system. Carolyn saw how amazing the mental health professionals were towards her daughter during this time, and was inspired to retrain.  

Gabija’s Story 

Gabija was initially drawn to Essex because it has one of the best Government departments in the UK. However, she quickly found that her time here was integral to shaping the person she was becoming, so much so that she stayed on for her Master’s.  

Originally from Lithuania, Gabija would love to go on and work with NATO, especially now they are more focused on her home region. 

David’s Story

‘Think critically, live authentically’, that’s David’s mantra. 

Since joining Essex David has embraced living authentically to the fullest, dressing and acting how he wants, whilst engaging in all kinds of discussions as a member of the Essex Humanist Society.
