Not getting your expected grades

So, for me it was quite an interesting day to be honest. I expected to get very good results at college and unfortunately I really did not get the results I was expecting, and my primary choice, I didn't get into at all.

I had my security options obviously and I got into those but after having a look at the sort of the courses they offered, the course structure and everything like that, I figured it wasn't best suited for me.

I was so set on my top option; I hadn't looked at anything else to be honest. I sort of fell into that trap of thinking, “ok I'll make sure I revise, I'll do my exams and get into this top option.”

Clearing advice from family members 

My sister was back home at this point, she's three years older than me, she ended up going through Clearing. She said why don't you have a quick look at other options?

And then on the UCAS page I found Nottingham Trent University. I really wanted everything in email form and one of the members of the Clearing team sent it all over to me.

It was sent over to me and I got to read through it all, take my time and really make the right decision. Hindsight is a beautiful thing and looking back I would've loved to have done a lot better, but I wouldn't change anything, any choices, or any results that I got, because I am where I am now and I can't complain.
