OVERVIEW

The BAcc Accounting provides thorough training for a career in accountancy - including financial and management accounting, taxation and audit.CEOs and boards rely on accountants to help them to make informed financial decisions that contribute to the future success of their organisation – and you can play a part in this.With an emphasis on the practical aspects of accountancy, you will gain the mix of skills, knowledge and experience needed for a stimulating and rewarding career in accountancy.


ADVANCED ENTRY OPTIONS

Direct entry to Year 2 (with an appropriate HNC) and Year 3 (with an appropriate HND) may be possible at our Paisley and Lanarkshire campuses.


College Partnership - BAcc Top-up Degree

In addition, Year 3 entry to this UWS degree is also offered at both South Lanarkshire College, New College Lanarkshire (Coatbridge Campus) and Ayrshire College under our college partnership agreements. Please note that these routes are


only open to students who have completed an HND in Accounting at those institutions

. Students on the BAcc at a partner college who wish to complete the Honours year will be required to attend either the Paisley or Lanarkshire campuses to do so.


PRACTICAL FOCUS

You will have the option to undertake a one-year placement during your course. This can either occur between the second and third year, or the third and fourth year. Placements provides essential practical experience and can boost your job prospects upon graduation. Placement providers have included industrial and commercial companiues such as: // Lenovo // BNP Paribas // TUV SUD // Chivas Brothers
