Love the English language? If you’re also keen to investigate and understand how performance works (and you enjoy the thrill of live stage performance), this course is for you. During your Acting, Performance and English Language BA(Hons), you’ll get involved in staff and student-led performances. We encourage this hands-on approach to help you develop your creativity and prepare you for a post-university role. On the English language side, we’ll cover a broad range of topics in English language and linguistics, with the aim of furthering your understanding and helping you gain useful and transferable skills. We’ll look at literary and linguistic approaches to texts and interaction to help you build up your analytical and interpretive abilities.

If you’re keen to pursue a career in contemporary performance, theatre technology, English language, stage production, teaching drama workshops, or more, this course will help you develop skills that will complement these areas and more.
